She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Ewing Adams Sr. and Arilla Eva Crawford Adams; and her husband Charles F. "Chuck" Gifford. She is survived by: her adoptive son JD Smith (Karie) of Junction; and her granddaughters, Shelby Smith of Junction and Megan Jimenez of Kerrville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

At her request, Florence did not wish to have a service, rather to donate to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Research Foundation.
