She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Marion Perkins and Willie Agnes Akin Perkins; and her siblings, Alien Perkins Jones, Erma Christine Perkins, Vustula Louise Perkins Kelly, Shirley Azaleigh Perkins Rylander, Sarah Gertrude Perkins Shaw, James Patrick Perkins and Albert Marion Perkins Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Tom W. Carter Sr. of Kerrville, Texas; her son Tommie W. Carter (Karla) of Ingram, Texas; and her siblings, Richard Perkins (Pat) of Luling, Donald Ray Perkins of Ingleside, Texas and Eva Perkins Rogillio of Mesquite, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
