Though Shirley may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Skipper and Lois Skipper; her husband Buddy Honeycutt; and her sisters, Merle Davis, Maxie Barbay and Jimmie Boozer.
She is survived by: her son Skipper Honeycutt (Terry) of Overton; her granddaughter Holly McKinney (Kevin); her great grandchild Jude Fisher; her sister Carolyn Box (Buddy); and her close friend Don Parish. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Methodist Church of Overton (213 E Henderson St, Overton, TX 75684). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at the Rusk County Memorial Gardens (5013 US-259, Henderson, TX 75653).
