She was predeceased by : her parents, Wade Bruton and Mary Ethel Bruton; her husband Kenneth; and her children, Billy Fails and Charlotte A. Fails-Bryon.

She is survived by : her sons, David L. Fails, Shawn of Tatum and Carl W. Fails (Delight) of Lake Jackson; and her sister Nora Thompson of Mountain Home, TX.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several loving nieces and nephews.
