He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald O. Whitaker Sr. and Mary Whitaker; and his sister Becky Martin. He is survived by : his wife Sandy Whitaker; his children, Shannon Whitaker (Michelle), Linda Cox (Richard), Hope Whitaker, Cassy Tooke (Steven) and Teresa Barker; and his sisters, Nancy and Janice. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
