He was predeceased by : his aunt Florecia Thompson Wheatley. He is survived by : his sister Valarie Romeo; his aunts, Arlene Romeo Ware, Althea Romeo Mark and Ianthe Romeo Baynes (Hayley Woods Rodriguez); and his children, Bernice Decastro Denbow and Maurice.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home (1615 S Fort Hood St, Killeen, TX 76542). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
