She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Cockerell and Flora Bell Nunnelly Cockerell; her husband Fulton Shine; her sons, Charles and Mark; her siblings, Verdie Glenn, Julie Travis, Willie Barlow, Wallace Blair and Moody Rex Cockerell; her son-in-law Daryl Bishop; and her close friend Carl Vinson.
She is survived by: her children, John, Patricia Shine Bishop of Killeen and Peggy Shine Lemens (Veldon) of Austin; her grandchildren, David Bishop, Cody Lemens, Ronni Stuart (James) and Misti Phipps (John); her great grandchildren, Mia Stuart, Jordan Stuart and Katlyn Phipps; and also, Pamela Roth, Valerie Vinson and Logan Phipps.
