He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Jr. Mendietta and Gavina Mendietta (Medina); his grandmother Rosaura P. Mendietta; and his brother Jose Erasmo "Coche" Mendietta. He is survived by: his wife Lydia Mendietta; his daughters, Veronica Mendietta-Sotoj (Jeronimo) and Viviana Mendietta (Mingo Reyna); his siblings, Guillermo "Wille" Mendietta (Josie), Javiel Mendietta (Blanca) and Manuel; and his grandchildren, Noelia, Martin Mendietta, III (Christina), Jose Alfredo "Freddie" Mendietta (Christina), Bartolo Mendietta, Augustin Mendietta, Adam and Vincent. He is also survived by grandchildren; one bonus great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary (205 General Cavazos Blvd, Kingsville, TX 78363). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
