It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose J. Alegria (Kingsville, Texas), born in Sarita, Texas, who passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Felipe, Sr. Alegria and Jacinta Alegria; his wife Oralia R. Alegria; his grandson Adrian "Bubba" Salazar; his siblings, Teresa Silvas, Guadalupe Alegria, Filomena Martinez, Maria Elena Gonzalez, Felipe Alegria, Jr. and Matilde Rivera; and his in-laws, Felix and Angelita Rodriguez.

He is survived by : his children, Marty Alegria (Patricia), Janie Rodriguez (Raul Jr.), Robert "Buck" Alegria, Linda T. Alegria, Estella Alegria and Elda H. Alegria; his brother Alfredo Alegria, Sr. (Celia); his grandchildren, Angela A. Glazar, Horacio E. Rodriguez, J. M. Alegria, Deborah R. Rodriguez, Kimberly N. Rodriguez, Jacob M. Alegria, Ariel J. Ozuna, Adan G. Garza, Jr., Gabriella Y. Garza of Robert, Alegria, Jr., Aracely "Shellee" Salazar, Victoria E. Alegria, Omar M. Garcia, Alejandro S. Garza, Heidi Alegria and J. P. Perez; and his great grandchildren, Payton, Sophia, Lillyan, Landon, Ryder, Jace, Zackariah, Adan "Tres", Case and Tristian Lorenzo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
