He was predeceased by: his parents, Junius Mangum and Jacquelyn Mangum; and his granddaughter Vivian Mangum. He is survived by: his wife Janice Mangum; his sister Janet Crain (Gary Crain); his children, Brian Mangum (Allyson Mangum), Matt Mangum (Lindsay Mangum) and Jennifer Hawkes (Greg Hawkes); and his grandchildren, Isabel, Logan, Everly, Asher, Atlas, Iris, Lila and Lexi.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Yosemite Conservancy (yosemite.org), reflecting Jay's love for nature.
