With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlene Evelyn Engelage of Kingwood, Texas, who passed away on April 6, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Glen Fridley and Evelyn Fridley; her husband Don; and her siblings, Monette Fought, Don and Leon Fridley.

She is survived by : her children, Brian, Brent (Lena), Craig (Roseann), Dean (Heidi) and Jeannie (John); her grandchildren, Brianna, Blake (Danika), Paige (Tyler), Anna (Justin), Emma (Daniel), Adam, Sydney, Landon and Liliana; her great grandchild Kenna; her sisters-in-law, Jane and Sandy; her nieces, Tammy, Glennis, Allison, Andrea, Beth and Jenifer; and her nephew Michael.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kingwood Funeral Home (22800 US-59, Kingwood, TX 77339). A committal service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church (22770 US-59, Humble, TX 77339).
