He was predeceased by : his parents, Sigifredo Salazar and Esther Salazar; his parent-in-law Fructuoso (Ysaura Arranaga); his son Ruben Alfred Salazar; his siblings, Rebecca Salazar, Rachel Quintanar, Rosalva Yuman and Ramiro Salazar; his brothers-in-law, Joe Rodriguez, Rolando Arranaga and Armando Arranaga; his niece Dorothy Tovar; and his nephews, Scott Garcia and Fructuoso Arranaga (Tochito).
He is survived by : his significant other Ninfa Arranaga; his children, Ninfa Salazar Cruz (Deacon Michael Cruz) and Louis Anthony Salazar (John Gonzalez); his grandchildren, Erin Cruz, Zachary Cruz, Bellisima Cruz, Ian Salazar, Annie Salazar, Julian Gonzalez and Avery Gonzalez; his sisters, Romelia Rodriguez and Rosantina Trujillo; and his siblings-in-law, Amanda Trevino (Jesse), Concepcion Flores, Fructuoso Arranaga (Lydia) and Hector Arranaga (Nora).
