He is survived by : his wife Rebecca Ponder of Austin, Texas.; his children, Willis Miles Ponder IV (Miles), Susan Harris (Ponder), Kris Ponder and Regan Ponder; his grandchildren, Willis Miles Ponder (Will), Andrew, Anna Harris and Lauren Ponder; his great grandchildren, McKenzie Ponder and Willis Miles Ponder VI (Miles); his mother Catherine Ponder; and his siblings, David Ponder (Helen), Sam Ponder and Paula Bishop (Hugh).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mountain Entertainment Group for the Arts.
