Joyce Lahue Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Holtzinger and Julia Holtzinger (Ferguson); her husband Daniel Lahue; her father-in-law W. Russell Lahue; and her sister-in-law Karen Lahue Carlson.

She is survived by: her son Justin Lahue; her siblings, Tom Holtzinger and Carol Brown; her brother-in-law Mark Carlson; and her siblings' children, Molly Franks (Jon), Kelsey Holtzinger, Anna Brown, Erik Carlson, Caleb Holtzinger and Ben Brown.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Finch Funeral Chapel (13767 US Hwy 87 E p, Adkins, TX 78101). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Concrete Cemetery (15365 FM 775, La Vernia, TX 78121). When she retired, Joyce stated that she would not need to work another pandemic as she was a nurse during the A. I. D. S. crisis and Director of Patient Safety during COVID.
