He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Jim Boleman and Elizabeth Boleman (Hanson); his sons, Steve (Susan Boleman) and Scott; his wife Shirley of Denver; his nephews, Doug Arnell and Jay Boleman; his niece Janet; his brother J. W. Boleman Jr.; and also Diane Froistad.
