She is survived by : her husband Don Smith; her sister Katie Nabors Malone; her brothers-in-law, Ricky Smith (Patricia) and Leland Frase; and her nieces and nephews, Lyn Dennis, DeeAnn Hamner, Julie Kay Swaim, Robert Nabors, Greg Moore, Michelle Moore, Shannon Smith Simpson, Cade Smith, Angela Smith and Rikki Smith Cooper. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, beloved students, co-workers, special neighbors and friends.

Shirley was an avid reader and loved all types of books, therefore, in lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to your local library, Delta County Public Library, or charity of your choice.
