With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Luis Mendez Martinez of Lake Jackson, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Serafin Mendez and Rosa Martinez; his wife Valentina Mendez; his siblings, Serafin Méndez, Jr., Silvano Méndez, Antonio Méndez and Ofelia Méndez; and his grandsons, Romeo Sebastian Mendez and Eduardo Juan Campos.
He is survived by: his children, Froilan Mendez, Rolando Mendez, Fabian Mendez, Emilio Mendez, Francisco Mendez, Baldomero Mendez, Juvenal Mendez, Florinda Mendez, Rosalinda Campos and Oralia Mendez.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Palms Funeral Home (2300 E Mulberry St, Angleton, TX 77515). A Mass will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Jerome Catholic Church (201 N Lazy Ln, Clute, TX 77531).
