She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Staudt and Helen Moritz Staudt; her husband Johnny Gifford; her children, Steven Gifford, Robert Gifford, Carolyn Gifford and Patrick Gifford; and her grandson Nathan Laird.
She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Laird of Lake Jackson, Kathy Follett (Jim) of Angleton, Larry Gifford (Rebecca) of Fruitvale, David Gifford of Lake Jackson and Gary Gifford. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
