She was predeceased by : her parents, Jesus Rangel Hernandez and Delfina Perez Garcia; her sister Antonia Hernandez Perez; and her children, Tony Casarez and Petra Casarez.

She is survived by : her husband Manuel Casarez, Sr. of Lamesa, TX.; her sons, Manuel Casarez, Jr. (Janie Casarez), Larry Casarez (Rachel Casarez), Tommy Casarez (Susie Zepeda) and Ricky Lee Hernandez of Lamesa, TX.; and her siblings, Ruben Hernandez of Lamesa, TX., Juan Hernandez (Martha Hernandez) of Lamesa, TX., Ricardo Hernandez of Mexico and Sara Hernandez of Lamesa, TX.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Thursday, January 14th 2021 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Gonzales Funeral Home (310 S Main Ave, Lamesa, TX 79331). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 14th 2021 at 7:00 PM at the Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel (310 S Main Ave, Lamesa, TX 79331). Visitation was held on Friday, January 15th 2021 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Gonzales Funeral Home (310 S Main Ave, Lamesa, TX 79331). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 15th 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Dawson County Cemetery (1010 County Rd 20, Lamesa, TX 79331). Due to area Covid-19 situations we continue with public safety. For the safety of the family and our community, face masks and social distancing are required at the funeral home and cemetery.
