She was predeceased by : her parents, Trinidad Marez and Mary Esther Marez; her children, Solidad Salazar, Angelica Salazar and Ray Salazar, Jr.; and her siblings, Steve Marez, Willie Navarette, Manuel Marez, Ralph Marez, Thomas Marez and Sylvia Morua.

She is survived by : her husband Ray Salazar; her children, Renee Ramirez (Miguel), Tearsa Ball, Monica Marez, Michelle Krasniqi (Donny), Stephen Marez (Tess) and Phillip Marez (Frances); her siblings, Phillip Marez (Ophelia), Alex Marez (Christina), Josie Navarette, Eloisa Robles and Elvira Garza (Manuel); her grandchildren, Jonathon Ball, Brittany Marez, Mariah Ellenburg (Juanito), Rayanna Barrientos (Ricky), Toni Valles and Chris Ramirez; and her great grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Bexlee Barrientos, Remi Ramirez, Annabelle Ball, Wyatt Ball, Nolan Marez, Kennedy, Tatum Kellner and Arianna Bailon.
