It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita J. Periman Griffin (Lancaster, Texas), born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James V. Griffin Jr.; her son James David Griffin; and her parents, Boyce Periman and Ola Mae Gill Periman. She is survived by: her children, Eva Burrow (Randy), Karen McClary and Darrell Griffin (Tiffany Chambers-Griffin); and her grandchildren, Jennifer McClary, Julie McClary, Jordan McClary, Jillian McClary and John Slaughter. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Byrum Funeral Chapel (425 N Dallas Ave, Lancaster, TX 75146). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at the Edgewood Cemetery (695 Nokomis Rd, Lancaster, TX 75146).
