She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonah Blanton and Abbie Harris Blanton; her husband James 'Pepper Lee; her grandson Justin Freeny; and her siblings, Hassie Dixon, Charlie Blanton and Amos Blanton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Freeny (J. L.) and Sherl Henderson (Michael); her brother Verdell Adams; and her grandchildren, Jason Freeny (Cassie), Ashley Freeny, Coy Townsend (Kymeshia), Trianna Lewis, Brianna Lewis and Michael P. Henderson. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
