James Harlan Akin Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Harlan Akin of Laneville, Texas, who passed away on June 11, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Cecil and Irene Akin (Tompkins); his children, James Evan Akin and Sherrie Lee Owens; and his grandson Wrangler Shawn Akin.

He is survived by : his children, Jerry Dewayne Akin of Jacksonville and Tonya Kay Jones of Garrison; and his sisters, Patsy Jones (Jimmy), Jean Fryman (Ray) of Henderson and Rena Jordan (Danny) of Laneville. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
