He was predeceased by: his parents, James Challender and Sophie Challender. He is survived by: his wife Jane Ellen Dryburgh; his sons, Gerald (Lynne) and Michael Challender; his grandsons, Brodie, Graham, Grayson, Thurman and Neil; and his brother James (Nancy). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
