She is survived by: her parents, Arturo Meleńdez and Margaret Meleńdez; her siblings, Rourke Meleńdez (Corina), Greg Meleńdez (Patsy), Mary Margaret Benavides, Traci Leonard (John) and Robert Meleńdez (Josie); and her siblings' children, Jonathan Meleńdez (Sophia), Christopher Meleńdez, Tristan Meleńdez, Lauren Meleńdez, Greg Meleńdez (Yareli), Shelby Meleńdez (Ben), C. Y. Benavides IV (Vanora), Nicolas Benavides (Monica), Eduardo Benavides, Joshua Benavides, Catarina Benavides, John Leonard, Jr., Christa Super (Frank) and Daniela Meleńdez. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Joe Jackson Heights Funeral & Cremation Service (719 N Loring Ave, Laredo, TX 78040). A rosary was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels (719 N Loring Ave, Laredo, TX 78040). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (2219 Galveston St, Laredo, TX 78043). A burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Laredo Cemetery (3200 N Meadow Ave, Laredo, TX 78040).
