He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Serna and Ana Maria Garcia; and his siblings, Ramona, Belester, Blanca, Olga, Guadalupe, Dubelza, Rosalima, Nelida, Juan Angel and Juan Luis.
He is survived by: his sister Antonia; his wife Lilia; his children, Lilith Vega (Eloy), Guillermo Serna Jr. (Claudia), Jose Ivan Serna (Sandra) and Dahlia Calderon; and his grandchildren, Eloy, Melani, Franco, Ivan, Emma, Madelyn, Annabelle, Marcela and Liam.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services (1320 Trey Dr, Laredo, TX 78041). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the City Cemetery (3200 N Meadow Ave, Laredo, TX 78040).
