She was predeceased by: her husband Enrique Teniente; her parents, Emiliano Herrera and Dora Alvarado of Herrera; and her brothers, Gilberto Herrera (Amalia Martinez De Herrera) and Salvador Alvarado (Nelda Gutierrez De Alvarado).
She is survived by: her children, Ana Maria Teniente, Magdalena Tyagi, Berta Teniente, Veronica Gonzalez De Teniente, Enrique Teniente Jr. and Maria Christina Garcia; her grandchildren, Eliana Teniente, Arlene Teniente, Jaime Teniente (Raquel), Anselmo Garza III, Alberto Garza, Ronnica Gutierrez De (Richard), Orlando Gutierrez (Kimberly), Erik Tyagi and Colby Martinez; her great grandchildren, Aaliyah Tyagi, R. J. Gonzalez, Ray Gonzalez, Axel Tyagi and Gianna Gutierrez; and her sister Rosa Herrera. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends.
