It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Joseph Powasnick of League City, Texas, who passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Powasnick and Nora Powasnick (Doris Powasnick); his siblings, Regina Powasnick Kroll (James Kroll) and Michael Powasnick Jr.; and his daughter Sue Powasnick Everling.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Porter of Charleston; his sister Nora Powasnick Young; his children, George Powasnick Jr., Nancy Powasnick and Gregory; his daughter-in-law Jeanne Powasnick; his grandchildren, Sarah (Alan Garner), Hillary (Austin Simon), Sam Milbauer, Joseph Powasnick, Emily Powasnick and Aaron (Ashley McIntire); and his great grandchildren, Landon Garner, Brayden Garner, Amerie Simon, Owen McIntire and Allie McIntire. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Crowder Funeral Home (1645 E Main St, League City, TX 77573). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
