Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard Allen Benson of League City, Texas, who passed away at the age of 75, on March 23, 2022. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Benson and Ruth Benson; his daughter Stefanie Benson; and his brother James Benson. He is survived by: his wife Georgia; his daughter Julie Huennekens; his grandchildren, Brianna Benson, Jamie Huennekens and Kassidy Huennekens; his great grandchildren, Kobe Houston and Harper Barry; and his siblings, John Benson (Linda), Phil Benson (Barb), Thom Benson (Sandie) and Mary Buikema (Randy).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 554 in Richard's memory.
