He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Michele, Melvin and Misty; and his brother Marvin Godden. He is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Upwards Church (8754 Ranch to Market Rd 2243, Leander, TX 78641). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
