He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Higgs and Jessie Higgs (Sutton). He is survived by: his wife Mary Higgs of Leona; his children, George Higgs Jr. of Conroe, Tom "Les" Higgs (Jamie) and Stefanie "Alana" Higgs of Leona; his grandchildren, Dakota and Makayla Higgs; his sister Carolyn Rogers of New Hebron, Mississippi; and his sibling's children, Melissa Hagen, Dana Rogers and Eddie "Bubba" Rogers Jr.. He is also survived by numerous extended family and special friends.
For over fifty years, George was a devoted Mason, exemplifying the values of brotherhood and charity through his longstanding membership at the Centerville Masonic Lodge.
