He was predeceased by: his parents, A. W. Demers and Mary Anne Demers; his sisters, Delia Andrews and Dorothy Rohner; his wife Nelda Gibbs; and his grandson George Nelson Bond.
He is survived by: his children, William (Amy) of Rochester, WA, Delia Merritt of Garland, TX, Christopher (Susan) of Aledo, TX and Kimberly (Mitchell Bond) of Lindale, TX. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
