He was predeceased by: his parents, John Otis Young and Zana Katherine Lofland; his wife Mary Lee Young; and his siblings, John Otis Young Jr., David Allen Young, Tommy Clarence Young and Zana Beth Scott.

He is survived by: his children, Billy Glenn Young Jr. (Julie), Theresa Kay Guidry (Wayne) and Vickey Lee Gennuso (Frankie); and his grandchildren, Chet Guidry (Lily), Dominick Gennuso, Abigail Allmand (Justin) and Tanner Young.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Pace Funeral Home (200 FM350N N, Livingston, TX 77351). A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
