With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ernest McClendon of Corrigan, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ernest McClendon to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Leroy, Sr. and Willie Nell Morgan McClendon. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Emmons; his children, Mary McClendon Miller (Gregg), Marc McClendon (Allison), Tish Hollis, Roman Reeves (Amanda) and Lauren Murphy; his grandchildren, Jake, Amy Jo, Kaysen, Kyler Miller, Mollie-Kate, Jenna McClendon, Lewis, Derrick, Walker Findley, Reagan and Peyton Reeves; his brothers, Bruce McClendon (Marian) and Virgil McClendon; and his sisters-in-law, Wanda Kruse (JR), Becky Hendrix (Anthony) and Michelle Wunderlich. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other special friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cochran Funeral Home (406 N Yaupon Ave, Livingston, TX 77351). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family humbly asks for any donations to be made to the Katy Mosley Scholarship Fund at the Big Sandy/Dallardsville School.
