He was predeceased by : the mother of his children Peggy Jean Patterson. He is survived by : his wife Kathryn Patterson (Cordell); his children, Michael Patterson (Lisa), Larry Patterson (Rhonda) and Janey Patterson; and his grandchildren, Chasity Hanson, Shane Patterson, Charisa Crossland, Heath Patterson, Cole Patterson, Chase Patterson and Breanna Egerman.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Pace Funeral Home (200 FM350N N, Livingston, TX 77351).
