He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Meador and Helen Meador; his former wife Joy; and his brother-in-law Ed Cates. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Chapman; his children, Keri Meador of Tennessee and Joe Cato Jr. Meador (Joey) of New York; his siblings, Ray Meador (Sherry), Patricia Cates and Bart Meador (Donna); and his cousins, Joyce Meador and Brenda Pope. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Salem Kinser Methodist Church (1315 N Rees St, Greenville, TX 75401). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM at the New Klondike Cemetery.
