As Sanford departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Sanford may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Sanford leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his fathers, Wayne Hunt and Clifford Hunt; and his sister Deborah Scott (A. L.). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Hunt; his daughter Amy Franks (Keith); his sister Sherry Hortman; and his siblings-in-law, Lloyd Ford (Karen) and Angie Ford Munden (Matt). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
