He was predeceased by : his parents, Manuel Salinas and Amelia Alvarado; his daughter Celia Salinas; his siblings, Martin Alvarado, Valentin Salinas and Natividad Salinas; and his wife Ma Elena Salinas.

He is survived by : his daughters, Minerva Zavala (Manuel), Viviana Cedillo (Jorge) and Griselda Muñiz (Juan); his siblings, Manuela Moreno, Erasmo Salinas, Ludivina, Guadalupe Guevara, Veronica Salinas, Jose Alvarado, Rodolfo Alvarado and Maria Isabel Alvarado; and his grandchildren, Melissa, Manuel, Arianna, Samantha, Celia Camila, Andrea, Briana, Adriel and Alessandra.
