He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodolfo Sr. Barrera and Matilde Barrera. He is survived by: his sons, Rudy III, Romeo and Lalo; his siblings, Connie Ybarra (Eric), Dominique Arreazola (Salvador) and Mark Barrera (Madeline); and his siblings' children, Liliana, Mia, Annabelle, Hector, Eric, Jason and Marcus.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thomae-Garza Funeral Home & Crematorium (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church (705 S Longoria St, Port Isabel, TX 78578). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Port Isabel City Cemetery (299 N Musina St, Port Isabel, TX 78578).
