She was predeceased by : her parents, John Alfred Holmes and Dessie Mae Petrie; her husband Robert Powers; her son David Hood; and her sisters, Myrtle Holmes, Juanita Bedlien, Betty Cook, Pearl Owens and Wilma Farley.

She is survived by : her children, Terrie Rashall (Dennis) of Silsbee, Juanita Hogg (Michael) of Lott, Patricia Chism (Doug) of Temple, June Williams (Dennis) of Austin and Austen Powers of Lott; her grandchildren, LeyAnna Odom, Ashley Hogg, Trevelyn Hood, Dinecia Huber, Danielle Dodd, Cheyenne Dodd, Troy Hogg, Taylor Powers and Brandon Powers; and her great grandchildren, Raelin King, Ebin King, Brogan King, David Blalock, Cloey Blalock, Addison Hogg and Axel Hogg.
