She was predeceased by : her parents, Leo Tobola and Annie Neigebaur Tobola; her former life partner Frank Merta Sr.; her son Robert "Bobby" Merta; her siblings, Leroy Tobola, Evelyn Orsak and Nelmarie Kight; and her great grandchild Austin Frank Galloway.
She is survived by : her husband Henry Tamez; her children, Frank Merta Jr. (Dorothy) of Louise, Dickie Merta (Andrea) of Louise, Pat Raska of El Campo, Lorraine Cunningham (Mike) of El Campo, Theresa Saucedo (David) of El Campo and Peggy Halamicek (Allan) of El Campo; her sister Ida Mach of El Campo; and her grandsons, Eric Merta, Jared Merta, James Merta, Chris Cunningham, Brad Weston, Travis Saucedo, Jake Merta, Luke Merta and Wiley Halamicek. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Annie to be made to Saint Andrews Catholic Church in Hillje or Houston Hospice — El Campo.
