He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Raymond Shelton, Jr. and Mary Stevens Norton. He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Alford Shelton; his children, Kacy Marie Bain (Keith), Tracy Leann Appling, Molly Beth Volek (Darren) and Steven Wade Shelton (Amanda); his grandchildren, Amber Rose Miles (Jacob), Ethan Luke Bain (Channing), RaeAnna Leigh Appling, Steven Wyatt Appling, Charles Stevens Shelton, Sophie Evelyn Shelton, Kaiden Hunter Volek, Kason Lane Volek and Kenton Ray Volek; his great grandchildren, Cullen Miles, Slade Miles, Evelyn Bain, Wyatt Bain and Holly Bain; and his siblings, Valerie Katherine (Ralph Kodell), Nancy Louise Pruitt and Carl Lee Shelton (Barbara). He is also survived by six nieces, five grandnieces and eight grandnephews.
Memorial donations in memory of Raymond may be made to First Methodist Church or Houston Hospice – El Campo.
