Prior to Dale, aged 90, and Norma moving to Lubbock in 2020 (during a world-wide pandemic, no less), Dale had served in about every volunteer capacity available in a Baptist church, but his primary focus was serving as a Deacon and teaching the Bible for almost 60 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mission Dignity, an organization committed to meeting the food, housing, and medical needs of retired Southern Baptist ministers, workers, and their widows.
