He is survived by: his mother Bartola Ortiz; his siblings, Saul Bonilla-Ortiz, Marcelo Bonilla-Ortiz, Guadalupe Bonilla-Ortiz, Mario Melendez and Criselda Castillo; his girlfriend Elizabeth Vasquez; and his close friend Enrique "Kike" Chavarria. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
