She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Castro and Sara Cantu; her son Ernest Zamarripa; and her siblings, Josie Castro, Elisa Torres, William Martinez, Simon Cantu and Pauline Gonzales.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Lou Martinez (David), Jesse Zamarripa (Margie) and Irene Ramos; and her sister Maria Sandoval.
