She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Champion and Dolores Champion; and her husband Lewis Garibay. She is survived by: her sons, Jamie (Courtnei Garibay) of Clifton and Brian Garibay of Lubbock, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Jordan (Ally Garibay) of Lubbock, Jackson Garibay of Lubbock, Madelyn Garibay (Jett Ballard) of Lubbock, Jacei Barrera of Sundown and Jayden Barrera of Lubbock.

In lieu of flowers, and to honor Mary's lifelong commitment to helping others, the family requests that donations be made to Joe Arrington Cancer and Research Center or First Christian Church.
