She was predeceased by: her father John Wayland Mayo; her former husband HJ "Bubba" Shands; her mother Annie Dunn Mayo (Estes); her brother Bill Mayo; her in-laws, Mary Jule and Ele Baggett; and her niece Leigh Ann Mayo.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Getter (Kerry) and Jay Shands (Susie); her grandchildren, Annie Getter Brown, Richie Getter (Cameron), Rob Shands (Elizabeth), Hill Shands (Brittany) and Matt Shands (Chloe); her great grandchildren, Brady, Isabel, Hudson Brown, Saylor, Reese Getter, Cece, Mollie Shands, Magnolia Shands, Townsend and Rowe Shands; her niece Alyce Ann Baggett; her nephews, Richard Baggett and Mike Mayo; her sister-in-law Delle Mayo; her husband Arthur Temple; and her caregiver Mary Hulett Massey. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Congregational Church (105 Saddle Creek Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904).
