It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Howard Yount of Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Yount (Brookshire) and William Howard Yount. He is survived by: his children, Jessica Goodman (John) and James David Yount of Lufkin; his grandchildren, Brentlee Goodman, Blakelen Goodman and Brylee Goodman; and his siblings, Jeff Yount (Tina), William Yount of Lufkin and Kathy Allen of Diboll. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
