It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Phillips of Lufkin, Texas, born in Bridgeport, Alabama, who passed away on April 7, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Phillips (Ball) and Harry Floyd Phillips; his son James Floyd Phillips, Jr.; and his brothers, Charles Phillips and Lloyd Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Arcibar Phillips of Lufkin; his son Len Phillips (Becky) of Lufkin; his grandchildren, Joshua Rhoden, Natalie Dettmann and Michael Phillips; his great grandchildren, Evelyn Rhoden, Madilynn Dettmann and Emitt Dettmann; and his siblings, Hubert Phillips, Robert Phillips, Nancy Phillips and Joyce Petko. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
