He was predeceased by : his parents, Carolyn Blackwood (Clanton) and Robert Alexander Blackwood; his parents-in-law, W. J. and Flo Nelson; and his grandfather Jeff Hodges (Wanda).
He is survived by : his wife Marianne Blackwood; his sons, James (Tiffany Blackwood) and Taylor (Mary); his grandchildren, Elly, Jake of Lufkin, Luke and Jackson of Mansfield, Texas; his sister Jocelyn (John Palmer) of Nunan, Georgia; his siblings-in-law, Maxine Ezzell of Spanish Fort, Alabama, Judy (Brownie Brock) of Spanish Fort, Alabama, Butch Jackson of Mobile and Charlie (Sharon Nelson) of Baytown, Texas; and his close friends, Sammy Spencer of Forney, Andy Verzwyvelt of Alexandria, Runt Phillips of Lufkin, Texas, Mark (Lisa Ward) of Lufkin, Texas and Miss Kitty.
